Disciplinary Section

As professors have noted an increase in instances of plagiarism in various student outputs, we wish to send you this note summarizing the consequences of this act. Plagiarism is a serious act defined by "any full an partial representation or reproduction made without the consent of the author or his successors or his rights-holders. The same applies to translation, adaptation or transformation, arrangement or reproduction by any technique or process whatsoever.
We would like to remind you that all cases of  plagiarism will be referred to the disciplinary section of the Université Grenoble Alpes.

If the student being prosecuted is found guilty by the disciplinary section of thealleged offenses, 6 penalties may be imposed:
• warning,
• official reprimand,
• expulsion from the university for up to five years. This sanction may be imposed with conditionsif the expulsion does not exceed two years,
• permanent expulsion from the university,
• expulsion from any public higher education institution for a maximum period of five years,
• permanent expulsion from any public higher education institution.

In addition, any penalty imposed will include the invalidation of the concerned paper or examination  (grade of 0).
The disciplinary section may also decide to cancel the student's set of papers or the examination session.

The disciplinary action must also be recorded in the student's file.
